Welcome to SLO Jazz Festival, an organization bringing quality jazz related events that nuture the human spirit to San Luis Obispo, the Happiest City in America (according to Oprah, 2011). We are planning the 1st Annual SLO International Jazz Festival in September 29-30, 2012 with our Main Stage in Mitchell Park on September 29-30, 2012, and a Salsa Stage in the Mission on Sunday September 30, 2012! This is going to be fun, fun, fun!

Note: we host a series of quality concert events to celebrate jazz, raise organization awareness, offer memberships, and build sponsorships for this exciting new organization. Our first "Court Street Summer Jazz" concert series was a smashing success! We are currently working on the 2nd Annual Court Summer Jazz series, as well. In addition, we are also working on a summer jazz workshop. Details forthcoming early 2012!

PLEASE NOTE: The RED EVENING CELEBRATION, November 20, 2011, is postponed. The concert/fundraiser portion of this event is cancelled and the VIP RED CARPET is moved into Paso Digital Film Festival - PDFF (see www.thePDFF.com for details). Thanks to our volunteer team and so many for helping us with this event! Please also continue to support both SLO Jazz Festival and God's Havens For Children (www.ghfci.org), our non-profit for this event. The sponsorship and donations are deeply appreciated!!!

Red Skunk Jipzee Swing Band at Court Street Summer Jazz   Red Skunk Jipzee Swing Band - Sept 17, 2011 at Court Street Summer Jazz, Noon - 3PM!
 
The Red Skunk Jipzee Swing Band will perform on September 17, 2011 from NOON to 3PM for our last Court Street Summer Jazz concert this year (Court Street is by Sephora and Pottery Barn near Osos St. and Marsh St.). Come discover why the Red Skunks were the SMASH HIT of the Live Oak Festival (by KCBX) this year, as they perform hit songs off their new "Hot and Haunting" CD - hot off the presses! We recommend you get their early and stay for the show!  Afterwards, visit the nearby stores, then enjoy dinner at Palazzo Guiseppe.
FUNDRAISER SUCCESS! A packed house for the Bossa Nova Party!  
Teka Party Our special fundraiser for God's Havens for Children and SLO Jazz Festival SOLD OUT!! Held September 3, 2011 from 9P - 11PM, and billed as a "Bossa Nova Party" with Téka (NewBossa.com) at STAX Wine Bar in Morro Bay, CA, this event established SLO Jazz Festival as an organization that can put together exciting fundraisers with both class and aplomb. We thank everyone who DONATED, TEKA, STAX, Onboard Nautical Events, Dean Sullivan, and Mark Lancaster, and all of our SLO Jazz Festival team for all of your hard work and dedication to host this fine event! Court Street Summer Jazz   We are excited to present the Court Street Summer Jazz series as our inaugural events for this exciting new
organization.

Featuring 10 weeks of the Central Coast's finest quality jazz music,
come out and enjoy the music on Court Street Terrace by Pottery Barn and Sephora in San Luis Obispo and hear fantastic local musicians perform their craft.
