The Artist:Teka (www.newbossa.com)- A mix of undulating Bossanova, complex harmonies and American Jazz; this delightful Brazilian vocalist and guitarist will perform with her trio.

Brazilian Vocalist and Guitarist

The warmth and beauty of the tropics are vividly embodied by Téka, renowned Brazilian vocalist/ guitarist. Featuring beautifully seductive melodies and infectious rhythms, Téka sings with a sensual lyricism, rich velvety tone, and perfectly swung grooves from her extensive repertoire. From smooth Bossa Nova and Brazilian jazz to contemporary pop and lively sambas, Téka and her band perform with authenticity, energy and charm. Whether accompanying herself with a guitar, performing with her acoustic trio or as a full ten piece band, Téka’s music always makes one feel just a little closer to Brazil, home of the samba, Rio and remarkable musicians like Téka.
