Scott Andrews, Executive Director & Founder
Scott oversees all aspects of the jazz festival, and also currently serves as Festival Director and Education Program Director. His vision guides the development programs and overall creative direction of the SLO Jazz Festival. He envisions growing the SLO Jazz Festival in the beautiful gem of downtown San Luis Obispo, CA, drawing its inspiration from the local environs, legendary regional artists, and the global history of jazz music -- all while benefiting the Central California Coastal communities through musical outreach and education. Scott is the Founder and Executive Director of SLO Jazz Festival, and former President of the Board. |
He is an author, entrepreneur, speaker, and saxophonist who leads Black Market Trio & Soul Explozion. He can often be seen performing on stages throughout the Central Coast and beyond. His business, ARRiiVE Business Solutions, provides leadership and marketing solutions and has launched over two dozen different companies and products since 2006.

Arlene Gee, Executive Coordinator
Arlene Gee (Gee Consulting) is a former Pismo Beach City Council Member and Mayor Pro-Tempore, and involved in surrounding city events for over 30 years. Arlene's experience on the Conference and Visitors Bureau Board as well as the Special Events Committee gives her a unique set of abilities to bring to SLO Jazz Festival as our newest team member. As the Pismo Beach Chamber of Commerce Chief Ambassador, Arlene enhanced the Ambassadorship by 50% with an improved participation rate of attending meetings, events and ribbon cuttings. Arlene also brings us insights and social media knowledge to promote and use electronic platforms to inform and generate interest, expand events and motivate individuals and companies into action with her contagious high energy.

David Claytor, Production Manager
David Claytor is now our Production Manager this year after supporting James Davis previous years. David has been operating SureThing Productions and Management since 1991. Over the years he has filled a variety of roles in the arts and entertainment industry including club booking, artist's booking agent, band road and tour manager, event marketing and publicity, and stage management. This experience has given him the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele and internationally known artists. David joined us in 2015 and has been a key manager driving our success the past two years.
Co-founder of the Santa Cruz Blues Festival 21 years ago, David applies his expertise to the events and festivals he works on nationally. His professional staff and crew provide reliable services with integrity and ease. While staying focused and steady under pressure, David always remembers to have fun.

Joe Lang is the President of Tumbleweed Productions with over 20 years' experience producing and marketing world-class signature special events, festivals, promotional tours, outreach and education programs, including the Aprés Ski Cocktail Classic. He joined us as Consulting Producer for the 2016 SLO Jazz Festival and his wisdom proved highly beneficial this year both in booking bands and in production. Joe is a Consulting Producer for the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz since 2012. He produces International Jazz Day (Osaka, Japan - 2014; Paris, France - 2015), and currently serves as the Founder & Executive Director of the Roaring Fork Lacrosse Club, a 501(c)(3) program serving over 130 middle and high school students. In addition, Joe previously served as Executive Director, Jazz Aspen Snowmass, an organization with a budget over $5 Million, and was involved with Jazz Aspen Snowmass for over 16 years. He was Director of Festivals and Education programs for Sonoma Jazz from 2004 - 2011.

Dave Seidenzahl's stage management experience spans the past ten years and includes the Pozo Concerts, KCBX's Live Oak, and other events around the County. He makes sure that the performing artists get on the stage professionally and smoothly coordinate with the sound crew as well as generally maintaining the overall efficiency and festival schedule behind the scenes while the show is running. Dave is also a huge jazz fan, and thrilled we're bringing international, regional, and local artists of high quality together at the SLO Jazz Festival. |

Casey and JoJo Tench, Vendor Coordinators
Casey and JoJo are helping coordinate all of our vendor relationships to ensure things go smoothly while you set up, take down and enjoy the fine music presented at the SLO Jazz Festival and Fall Fest events.
For the last 5 years they have created and coordinated their own vendor events with in the City of Morro Bay CA. Their back ground in vendor relations, event coordination, event management, and marketing management, along with strong networking skills, makes this dynamic duo a great fit to our team.
Casey and JoJo are helping coordinate all of our vendor relationships to ensure things go smoothly while you set up, take down and enjoy the fine music presented at the SLO Jazz Festival and Fall Fest events.

Madeline Royal, Stage Coordinator
Through Love Live Music Productions, Madeline Royal coordinates live events at venues throughout San Luis Obispo County. She's helped coordinate both the Blues Masters Jam on Wednesdays at Mongo's and the Ted Waterhouse Real Blues Jam on Thursdays in Morro Bay. Madeline is active in many nonprofit and community events. As someone who truly loves live music, Madeline is especially excited to help manage our high school stage and new Jazz Lives Stage. |

As a long-time fan of Playboy Jazz Festival, Jere’s passion for blues and jazz music and vision of SLO Jazz Festival is to see this organization thrive to build a stronger music and education scene on the Central Coast. Jere's legal advice and wisdom in overseeing our board's activity towards the SLO Jazz Festival's mission and objectives are a welcome addition in 2015. Jere also serves for the past 4 years as President of Options, a nonprofit in Morro Bay, CA.

Chris is a huge jazz lover and has been a CFO at JW Group, a construction management company in San Luis Obispo for the past 30 years. He is our Treasurer and helps oversee the Festival Box Office and cash operations in 2016. He formerly served on the board for Big Brothers and Big Sisters and Rotary Daybreak San Luis Obispo.
Jenny Mulks Wieneke, Secretary & Board Member
Jenny brings a passion for music and desire to help the jazz festival expand its horizons to our board, with experience in nonprofit creation and nonprofit fundraising. Her 11 years’ experience managing a pharmaceutical team also demonstrates her sales and marketing savvy. She is also the founder and Executive Director of Along Comes Hope, a nonprofit helping children with cancer receive the treatment they need. A survivor herself, Jenny's entrepreneurial spirit and thirst for life exemplifies what we mean when we say our mission is a Celebration of Life, through jazz related music and education.

SLO Jazz Festival was Founded by Scott Andrews, who currently leads the organization. Mr. Andrews also was assisted by Co-Founders Kevin Costigliolo of Grateful Family Promotions and Susan Cosper, a local CPA, both of whom are no longer with the organization. We also appreciate the contributions of Dr. James Brescia, Deanna Dinco, James Davis, Natalie Stets, Everette Brooks, Marilyn Fidler, Mary Kay Harrington, Joseph Tyra, Adam Clark, Ray Spellerberg, Alexandra Steineke, Mark Pietri, Hope Cornejo, Laura Jeffrey (101 Wine Tours), Sharon Hicklin, and others who provided assistance with launching and producing previous SLO Jazz Festival events in 2014-2023.
